Daphne Begonia

I know you all must be wondering just what kind of breed Daphne Begonia is because she clearly isn’t a breed you see every day. That’s because she’s a Coton de Tulear, a rare breed from Madagascar which didn’t even enter the USA until the mid 70’s. I happened to come by this breed by chance in my search for dogs under 16 pounds (the weight restriction in my stupid effin NYC building.) They are not in the AKC which means you hopefully won’t be seeing them in any pet stores any time soon which also means they are still bred for temperament and disposition and are just fun-loving pups that are actually known to be called “the little clown dog” or “the anti-stress dog” (My sister, Caren, thought I should have named her Zoloft)!!! For more information click here.
Unfortunately, Mahalo doesn’t have an entry for them yet… What’s up with that Mr. Calacanis?
Update: Mahalo now has a page on the Coton De Tulear breed which features Daphne!

what a beautiful owner.
ReplyThanks mom.
ReplyDaphne is my favorite, and once again her haircut, stunning as it is, cost more than mine. Daphne you lead a charmed life.
ps. I used to call my cat Valium cuz he had a sedating effect.
